Fluentbe Presentations Library

This article explains how you can edit student's course plans and exchange the presentation during the lesson.

Updated over 5 months ago
  • The Lessons Library contains only Fluentbe Presentations and does not include other resources such as books.

  • Course Availability: Not all courses have access to the library. Some courses, particularly groups and company courses, may be restricted to the default course plan. The most flexible options will remain the standard one-on-one courses.

Two Access Options

You can access the library from two different places, designed to tackle two different situations.

Access via the course profile

1️⃣ You can access the library from the Course profile, and you can modify the course. Please check if the course type allows modifications. Also, ensure to discuss the student's needs beforehand to make the most of these resources.

If you modify the order of the lessons or add new ones in advance, your students will be able to prepare for the lessons by completing the Pre-lesson Activities in their Student Space.

Click ‘Add more lessons’.

Search lessons using different tools - levels, keywords, and other filters on the right-hand side.

You can preview the lesson and then ‘Select material’.

In the next step, after clicking ‘Add Materials’, the extra lesson will appear at the end.

By dragging and dropping, using the three-lined icon on the left-hand side, you can change the order of lessons, or delete the extra lessons by clicking the ellipses on the right-hand side.

⛔ You cannot delete a lesson from the default course plan.

💡 Pay attention to the half-lessons in 30-minute lesson courses. Make sure the two halves follow one another.

And, always remember to ‘Save changes’.

Access via the Classroom

2️⃣ You can access the library from the Classroom to address any ad-hoc circumstances, such as if your student needs to prepare for a trip, a job interview, review past tenses, etc. (If it's possible, plan the lesson in advance, and add them to the course plan.)

Click the Course Plan icon to open the drop-down menu.

Click the ‘search bar’ to access the same view as covered in the section where we describe the Access via the Classroom.

The search system is identical, but this method is likely to be used while speaking with the student, allowing you to find the best fit for the lesson together.

You can ‘Preview Lesson’ to review the content, and when you find what you need, click ‘Launch Lesson’ to start teaching.

As you can see here, you can have multiple presentations open simultaneously.

🔥🔥🔥 Now, here’s the crucial part: when you teach a lesson using extra material you choose in the classroom, you must manually change the lesson status to ‘Finished’.

This step is essential because we want students to access this specific lesson in the Student Space. If they take a progress test, it will include questions from this material, so students need to be able to review it.

🔥🔥🔥Be sure to update the status immediately after the lesson to avoid any delays or forgetting to do it later.

➡️ Go to the lesson on the Course page and select ‘Finished’ in the Lesson Status on the right-hand side.

The system will automatically select the default topic, as it cannot determine which topic you ultimately taught. You need to change it manually.

➡️ Choose the topic from the list below that you taught your student. Only one topic can be selected.

💡You can also indicate any presence or technical issues during this step.

When you’re done, click ‘Finish lesson’ and trust that your student will be grateful 😉.
